ii)      Vapor Phase Osmometry

iii)      Cryoscopy (freezing point depression) and Related Methods

iv)     Static Light Scattering

viii)    Gel Permeation (or Size Exclusion) Chromatography

3.          Non-classical Methods: Physics, Operating Equations, Practice

i)       Electrophoresis (proteins, DNA, synthetic polymers)

ii)      Field Flow Fractionation

iii) Diffusion Coefficient; dynamic light scattering

iv)     Liquid Chromatography; liquid chromatography at the critical condition

v)            Mass Spectrometry

4.   Special Polymer Classes

         (1 lecture)

i)       Polyelectrolytes

ii)      “Complex Polymers”; measuring distributions in properties beyond molecular weight (branching, copolymer composition) or measuring molecular weight in the presence of these properties
